1. Incorporating special, non-standard, and alternative collections into your teaching. LIB 001
In this session, part-time faculty will explore streaming videos, statistical datasets, primary sources, art images, historical newspapers, music, special collections, and other unique library resources. Participants will discuss how to integrate these collections into their course material. This session will be hands-on in the library learning lab.
2. Library resources for promoting and supporting group assignments and active learning. LIB 002
In this session, part-time faculty will experience an active-learning group lesson in the library’s new collaborative learning lab. Activities will include seeing Media:Scapes in action, and exploring ideas for using multiple projectors, mobile whiteboards, and Smart Board technology. Laptops will be provided.
