Residential Support and Services
Although Grand Valley does not require on-campus residency for any classification of student, the university does consider residential living to be particularly beneficial in helping all students become oriented and adjusted to college life. The level of support available to residential students aids in their academic and personal success.
Residential students boast higher GPA’s and are more likely to graduate than students who live off campus. A university staff member for each living center, along with student Resident Assistants arranges educational, diversity, and recreational programs that serve to foster and maintain pleasant living and study conditions.
Residential students are able to experience campus life fully and experience the benefits of living on campus. Several of our residential communities have faculty members onsite, as well as university staff members from departments that provide support for both academic and personal needs. Having access to these resources, students are able to be successful in and outside of the classroom.
