IT Helpdesk Support: Student Technician

Job Description:

Provide audio, visual and computer support services to Allendale Campus community. May be assigned to work in any campus region.

Primary Duties:
Responsible for setup and software support of Windows and Macintosh Computers.
Responsible for the set up, operation, and tear down of audio/visual equipment.
Performs continuous inventory, security, cleaning, and storage of IT equipment.
Responds to emergencies and is able to adjust schedule to meet needs of GVSU community.
Lifts and carries weight equivalent to TVs, speaker cabinets, and computers as required.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience to successfully work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
Demonstrated experience to successfully operate and explain wide variety of media/office equipment.
Demonstrated experience to successfully provide quality customer service.
Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain satisfactory work performance and attendance records.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience to successfully work independently, if required.
