Grand Valley State University will open a surplus store in downtown Grand Rapids that will provide the general public with a chance to purchase university inventory that’s no longer in use.
The surplus store will have its grand opening Saturday, February 8, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Future hours of operation will be announced at a later date.
The store is located at 140 Front St., across from the Bicycle Factory and next to Grand Valley’s L. William Seidman Center. Free parking is located next to the store in the Watson and Front Street parking lots.
Inventory for sale includes computers, including iMacs and laptops, keyboards, printers, TVs, office furniture, clothing, industrial equipment and more. The store was created as an avenue to responsibly manage Grand Valley’s purchased inventory that’s no longer in use.
Questions can be directed to the store at (616) 331-9072.
