Resources and Support for Student Parents
Child Care
The GVSU Children's Enrichment Center is home of the "Littlest Lakers" serving families of GVSU and the surrounding communities since the early 1970s. "Our mission here is to educate children, families, and students to shape their lives and societies in order to nurture habits of intellectual growth, curiosity, and a love for learning. For nearly 40 years, the Children's Enrichment Center has been providing affordable quality care for Grand Valley's students." The CEC offers both full-time and part-time enrollment options. Discounts are offered for GVSU students, faculty/staff, siblings and military families.

Rooms for Nursing Mothers/Nursing Nests
GVSU is striving to make it easier for nursing mothers to maintain breastfeeding after returning to work or school by providing private and comfortable "nursing nests."
Baby Changing Stations: Changing stations are located in men's and women's restrooms across campus. Baby changing stations have been added to restrooms in the following locations: Commons, Fieldhouse, Kirkhof Center, Lake Ontario Hall, Mackinac Hall, Niemeyer Honors College, and Performing Arts Center. This has been done to serve our faculty, staff, students and community members that may have children on campus during working hours or for events.
