BETHANY REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT SERVICES; Summer and Fall 2019 Internships
GVSU Anthropology Interns at Bethany
In the past, GVSU Anthropology interns have worked with Bethany
to help meet clients’ needs. This has included work in cultural
orientation, where a student is matched with a specific refugee adult
or family to provide individualized assistance on a weekly basis. This
has included helping clients with transportation and helping them to
understand U.S. laws and cultural norms. Students help remove barriers
for the individual/family so that they can better receive services at Bethany.
