Helping Teachers Help Our Kids
GVSU's College of Education and Community Innovation offers targeted professional development opportunities to BCPS teachers through New Teacher Mentoring, and various programs to support curriculum development and instructional practices. Additionally, classroom assistants receive support to become certified teachers, and pipeline programs are established to bring more educators to Battle Creek.

Faculty GVSU College of Education and Community Innovation provides an internship experience for first-year certified teachers, at all grade levels, in Battle Creek Public Schools.
Paraprofessional Pathway Program
Supporting individuals working in Battle Creek Public Schools as paraprofessionals who are interested in pursuing a teaching certification to become a future teacher.
