1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
I've spent my entire career in public service enhancing the lives
of citizens through protecting the environment. I spent 32 years
overseeing air and water resources in Michigan and now preside as the
Director of U.S. EPA's Great Lakes National Program Office in Chicago.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
I joined the Grand Valley track team my second year of college.
It brought me new friends and new experiences - so many amazing memories.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
You know everything you need to know if you are wiling to ask
those who know. Don't be afraid to ask questions - it's how you keep
learning and growing.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Satisfying, Family, and Fun
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
Leaving the water environment in the Great Lakes better than when
I started my career.
