The Institute for Cybersecurity Education and Research (ICER) aims to advance cybersecurity through comprehensive education, innovative research, and community engagement. We have recently held GenCyber camps, providing cybersecurity knowledge to both high school students and high school teachers. We participate in outreach events to local schools. We engage companies with cybersecurity needs through sponsored senior projects.

Our Cyber Range facility, built in partnership with MICTRA provides a safe platform for cybersecurity education and testing for our own students and local companies. ICER further aims to enhance the career preparation of GVSU's cybersecurity students through providing industry connections and co-curricular activities, as well as working to align curriculum with business needs.
