Marlee Busalacchi wins prestigious Ray Owen Poster Award!

Congratulations to Marlee Busalacchi, recipient of the prestigious Ray Owen Poster Award at the 2023 Midwinter Conference of Immunologists. This poster award is named after Ray Owen, who is considered the father of modern immunology and whose discovery of immune tolerance in the 1940's led to immunosuppression being used in organ transplantation. Marlee is a Master of Health Science Biomedical Sciences graduate program alumnus and she is currently working as a research lab manager and adjunct instructor for GVSU. Her poster, titled "Microbial experience influences anti-tumor immunity" is authored by Marlee F. Busalacchi, Nicholas A. Bunda, Hanna Groeber, Cody T. Morrison, Roland M. Nulph, Maci A. DeBoer, and Kristin R. Renkema. Congratulations to Marlee and all the BMS graduate and undergraduate students who contributed to this research!
