Catching up with Ramya Swayamprakash

I attended the NEH Summer Institute- Towards a People’s History of Landscape (June 12- July 8) hybrid in Richmond VA; and the Network in Canadian History and Environment Summer School in Montreal (June 14-16). I was invited to these institutes through competitive applications.
I presented at the Canadian Historical Association Annual Meeting (June 2024). I am also presenting at the World Congress for Environmental History.
I recently published a book chapter in an edited volume on dam internationalism.
I conducted archival research as a Miller Fellow at the Clements Library at the University of Michigan for my monograph,  having been awarded the Miller Fellowship in Great Lakes History.
I also received the CSCE Catalyst Grant for my monograph and the Linda Hall Residential Fellowship for my next project. I was also awarded the American Society for Environmental History Gale fellowship for a short-term research project that I will present at the American Society for Environmental History Annual Meeting in Pittsburg PA in April 2025.
