Catching up with Ramya Swayamprakash

I attended the NEH Summer Institute- Towards a People’s History of
Landscape (June 12- July 8) hybrid in Richmond VA; and the Network in
Canadian History and Environment Summer School in Montreal (June
14-16). I was invited to these institutes through competitive
applications.
I presented at the Canadian Historical Association
Annual Meeting (June 2024). I am also presenting at the World Congress
for Environmental History.
I recently published a book chapter in
an edited volume on dam
internationalism.
I conducted archival research as a Miller
Fellow at the Clements Library at the University of Michigan for my
monograph, having been awarded the Miller Fellowship in Great Lakes
History.
I also received the CSCE Catalyst Grant for my monograph
and the Linda Hall Residential Fellowship for my next project. I was
also awarded the American Society for Environmental History Gale
fellowship for a short-term research project that I will present at
the American Society for Environmental History Annual Meeting in
Pittsburg PA in April 2025.
