BIO 329 - Evolution of Social Behavior

Study of the social behavior of animals from a Darwinian perspective, emphasizing processes through which animal societies are structured and maintained. Vertebrate and invertebrate species will be studied to understand how evolution, social behavior, and social roles are linked. Does not count toward biology or biopsychology majors or biology minor. Part of Marginality and Difference theme. (3-0-0) Offered fall and winter semester. Prerequisites: Junior standing. One course in biology or psychology recommended.
