CHM 241 - Organic Chemistry For Life Sciences I
The first semester of a two-semester sequence of Organic Chemistry designed to meet the specific needs of life science students. Topics include classes of organic compounds, nomenclature, transformations and reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, and spectroscopy. This course emphasizes the importance and application of functional group organic chemistry in living systems. (3-1-3) Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: CHM 116.
