CJ 420 - Juvenile Correctional Counseling
This class is designed to provide education and practice strategies for establishing rapport, gathering information, conducting assessment, modifying delinquent youths' emotional state and maladaptive behaviors, assessing suicide risk, and making referrals. Specific techniques in addition to understanding specific counseling paradigms used with resistant and delinquent youth will be explored. Offered winter semester. Prerequisite: Junior status.
