EGR 434 - Bioelectric Potentials
Study of mechanisms governing the generation of bioelectrical signals focusing on measurement and analysis techniques in nerve and muscle electrophysiology. Topics include excitable membranes, plasma membrane characteristics, origin of electrical membrane potentials, action potentials, voltage clamp experiments, impulse propagation, membrane biophysics, and cardiac arrhythmias. Crosslisted with EGR 534. EE elective. Offered fall semester. Prerequisites: EGR 323. Admitted to electrical or interdisciplinary engineering major.
