Foundations of distributed computing: modern operating systems and computer networks. Comparative discussions of commercially important OSs. Network programming paradigms, network applications, and client/server development. Laboratory exercises in network and client/server programming. (3-0-2) Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: CIS 333, CIS 337 and admitted to CIS major.
