EGR 401 - Advanced Product Design
Advanced topics in product design are integrated to prepare students to develop a prototype into a manufacturable design. The course will cover topics such as analysis of competitive product, protection of intellectual property, product architecture, material and process selection, experimental design, advanced tolerance analysis, rapid prototyping, and risk amelioration. Course material will be reinforced with design project work. Prerequisites: A grade of "C" or better in EGR 301. Admitted to interdisciplinary or product design and manufacturing engineering major.
