LS 426 - Civil Litigation I
An exploration of all phases of the pretrial litigation process in civil matters, including procedures at the federal and state level. Students will develop an understanding of the attorney-client relationship, investigation of claims, jurisdiction, venue, pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and litigation strategy. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisite: LS 301 or LS 201 (may be taken concurrently) or permission of instructor.
