HNR 209 - The Middle East Beyond the Headlines 1
Course examines the historical and literary context from the pre-Islamic period through the Ottoman era. It begins with a background of history, religions, and literature before the birth of Muhammad, then focuses on the impact of Islam in Arabia and, later, on the Middle East and beyond. Fulfills WRT 150 requirement. Fulfills Foundations - Historical Perspectives. Offered fall semester. Corequisites: HNR 209 and HNR 210.
