MTH 313 - Teaching Probability and Statistics in Grades 5-12

Developing statistical knowledge for teaching in grades 5-12, including data investigations, study design, attending to variability, inferential statistics, association, simulation, and probability models. Includes integrated discussions of pedagogy and learning progressions. At least 6 hours of fieldwork includes facilitating a data investigation, eliciting and interpreting thinking, and leading group discussions. Offered fall semester. Prerequisites: MTH 229 and STA 312.
