My broad research interests lie in understanding:
-
Endocrine, metabolic and molecular interactions coordinating physiological (homeostatic/homeorhetic) adaptation in key metabolic tissues during pregnancy and lactation, and delineating the aberrations induced by exposure to altered gravity.
-
The biochemical and molecular constituents of an oocyte/embryo endowed with capacity to develop. Specifically, identify constituents that can aid in predicting developmental capacity and serve as reliable selection markers for assisted reproductive technologies.
-
Molecular and cellular developmental chronology of a placenta, in particular, the cross-talk at the fetal, maternal and placental interface.
