Computing Professor Christian Trefftz Receives GVSU's Highest Honor

The School of Computing is proud to announce Dr. Christian Trefftz is the 2023 recipient of The Glenn A. Niemeyer Award, GVSU’S highest honor.
Faculty selected for the Niemeyer Award are recognized for their excellence, enthusiasm, and loyalty to teaching, scholarship, and service. Recipients possess a superior student-centered approach to teaching that instills in their students a love of learning.
Dr. Trefftz’s colleagues describe him as a connector, collaborator, high-quality researcher, an excellent and caring instructor, and the ultimate team player. They recognize his ability to work with other Computing faculty noting that these collaborations often improve their own teaching, research, and service.
Dr. Trefftz delights in celebrating others, but it is our privilege to honor him. Congratulations, on this prestigious achievement, Dr. Trefftz!
