Approach to Therapy: I strive to tailor my approach to therapy in order to meet the unique needs of students, and focus first on building a safe and trusting relationship where students feel comfortable and welcome to share and explore what brings them to counseling- even though it is sometimes inherently uncomfortable to be vulnerable! Developing insight into how past experiences and relationships are impacting current experiences, challenging old/unhelpful ways of thinking, and exploring emotional experiences are some of the ways I work with students to help them achieve their goals.
