Alumna's book selected as Michigan Notable Book for 2025
A novel by Erin Bartels, an English Department alumna who has since gone on to publish several novels and short-story collections, has been recommended by The Library of Michigan as a Michigan Notable Book for 2025.
Every year, the Library compiles a list of 20 notable works that are about Michigan or the Great Lakes, or that are written by a Michigan author. (Erin and her book satisfy both criteria.)
The Lady with the Dark Hair is the third of Erin's novels to be thus honored.
