Simha Magal, Ph. D.

Simha Magal's academic career illustrates how integrating activities in teaching, scholarship, and service provides significant contributions to students, the academic discipline, and the community. While at Grand Valley, he has developed nine different graduate and undergraduate courses in the area of electronic commerce and enterprise resource planning (ERP). He brings a real-world focus to the classroom, which has led to the co-creation of written case and teaching materials of a hypothetical manufacturing organization. The materials have benefited more than 100,00 students in more than 250 universities in more than 40 countries.
Magal approaches his scholarship through theory building, modeling, empirical and practitioner efforts, and think pieces. he is the co-author of three textbooks in the ERP field and 19 refereed publications in journals. As director of the ERP Program, he has managed six SAP systems, introduced the SAP Certification Academy, helped develop and serve as faculty advisor to the Enterprise Systems Student Union, and established the Seidman ERP Speaker Series. One colleague notes, "Simha has built an exceptional record over the years and is recognized as one of the top scholars in his field."

Meagan Luttenton-Knoll, M.B.A

Meagan Luttenton-Knoll draws upon her former role as a director if information technology in an international trade organization to share business examples of communications, computer science, and management with Grand Valley students. By integrating instructional technology with business practice technology, students engage deeply as learners and future professionals.
Knoll has presented and participated in a number of teaching circles
and presented at the Teaching and Learning with Technology Symposium
in 2015. She presented the following: Course Design and Flipped
Instructional Technology: Developing MIS Competencies Applying
Enterprise Resource Planning Software, demonstrating not only
expertise, but also her willingness to lead others in this integrative
work. In the words of a students, "She has opened my eyes to new
technologies and confirmed my love for management information
systems."
