Enterprise Systems Student Union partners with Cargill to Feed America

Grand Rapids, MI, March 15, 2017: Students of the Seidman College of
Business’s Enterprise
Systems Student Union are partnering with
Cargill Inc. based out of Hopkins, MN, to work towards
decreasing
food related problems in the West Michigan Area. On Saturday, March
25th students will be
volunteering at the Feeding America West
Michigan food bank, which is a direct partner with the GVSU
Replenish Food Pantry The group has also partnered with Cargill to
provide a donation to the Replenish
Food Pantry at GVSU (the GVSU
food pantry) that will be used to augment the organization’s
outreach
programs. Cargill will be doing a similar volunteer event
in conjunction with the ESSU’s at the Second
Harvest Heartland
facility, a Feeding America partner.
Some more information about the ESSU: The Enterprise Systems
Student Union (ESSU) is
the first student organization, open to
all majors, at GVSU created specifically for students interested
in
Enterprise Systems/ERP. The purpose of this organization is to
provide a better understanding of
enterprise systems and to
provide a link between the university and companies who utilize
enterprise
systems. The organization hosts the ERP speaker series,
provides networking opportunities with
companies, conducts resume
workshops and practice interviews, and provides tutoring to
management
information systems students.
