Premier teams provide students with the opportunity to compete in collegiate esports at the highest possible level. Currently, GVSU offers Premier teams for Valorant, Valorant Game Changers, and Rocket League.

*Valorant Game Changers is restricted to women and marginalized genders only.

Benefits

Compared to club teams, Premier teams will receive the following benefits:

• New Premier team jerseys for each team member
• Travel funding for LANs & Events
• In-person coaching
• Broadcasting & social media coverage

Expectations

Students on a Premier team are required to do the following:

• Be in good academic standing
• Be a full-time student (min. 12 credits)
• Submit a fitness plan for the semester (min. 30 minutes of activity/week)
• Attend at least two non-esports campus events per semester
• Commit to 15-20 hours/week of practices & matches in-person at the LEC
