Beginner Backpacking on the Manistee River Trail

Join us for a short backpacking trip at the Manistee River Trail. No experience necessary, just a love for the outdoors.

Dates: Saturday September 28th to Sunday September 29th
Cost: $20
Mandatory Pre-trip Meeting: Friday, September 27th at 5pm (Ravines Center)

Regardless if you are new or experienced, we recommend coming to our socials on Monday nights, especially for our topic on Beginning Backpacking September 23rd at 5pm outside the Ravines Center.

We have gear you can borrow out and we will provide the meals.

Cancellations, Contingency, Refund Plans

Due to the nature of Outdoor Adventures programs and our commitment to risk management; trip activities, itineraries, and locations may be adjusted to ensure the best experience for participants. Outdoor Adventures reserves the right to cancel or postpone trips due to factors including but not limited to low registration and inclement weather.

If Outdoor Adventures cancels or postpones a trip, participants will receive a full refund. However, if significant changes to the trip occur after departure due to circumstances beyond our control, participants may be eligible for but are not guaranteed a partial refund, depending on the non-refundable expenses incurred by Outdoor Adventures.

Manistee River Trail is just under 2 hours from Grand Valley

We will trek at least 5 miles to set up camp and hike back the next day,
