Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
My primary role was to develop quotes for automation projects requested by our customers. This involves reviewing specifications, asking questions to further our understanding of the requirements, working with our team to develop concepts, determining costs, and writing technical proposals.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Technical writing, concept development, customer interaction, presenting proposals, and experience with a wide range of specific applications including adhesive dispensing, vision inspection, and injection molding.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I had the opportunity to go with our team on a site visit to a customer I worked with during this semester. It was very interesting to see their facility and the experience of being on a trip like this and interacting face to face with customers was very valuable.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
It has furthered my interest in working in automation in the future.
