Description of the Organization
Small owned athletic facility with multiple separate identities within. Has numerous baseball/softball batting cages along with indoor pickleball & tennis courts. Has a single basketball court along with a giant athletic turf field. Perfect complex for athletes from around the Grand Rapids area to come train and work out.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I have helped hold numerous baseball/softball tournaments and showcases. Provided insight for Sports Quest members on activities unique to the complex. Helped clean and manage the facility on a daily basis. Have provided pitching knowledge to various athletes through lessons and practices.

Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part about this internship was the high school athletic showcase we held at the beginning of the year. Were able to showcase high school baseball players from around the Grand Rapids area to multiple colleges. Whether they were D2 like GVSU or D3 like Calvin Colleges. We allowed players to go out and show their skills off.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This experience opened my eyes to the facility management part of sport. I went into this internship open to trying new things and that is what I accomplished. I am not exactly sure what I want to do in sports. This internship opened my eyes to new possibilities.
