Description of the Organization
I was an intern for the Poppy Sias-Hernandez campaign for 34th district State Senate. there is about a core group of 10 people. Bridget Fox is the Campaign Manager/ Finance Director. Jason Collela is the Field Director. the others preform task such as, volunteer coordinator, advisors, and paid Staff. This is a political organization.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I assisted duties such as, data entry, field operations, (which include cutting turf and knocking doors), and helping on fundraisers.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned how to effectively run a field operation, how to effectively Market a candidate to the voter, and how to network.
Favorite Part of the Experience
the best part of this experience was being treated like family. however if we are talking academically and job wise, I would say field operations.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
it has reaffirmed my desires to work on large scale political campaigns and to make it my career.
