Description of the Organization
Gentex is an electronics manufacturer for the automotive industry. Inside and outside rear-view mirrors feature cutting edge electrochromic technology coupled with a variety of other in-car utilities including reverse camera, compass, and temperature displays, HomeLink Wireless Control Systems, and traffic sign recognition.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I developed and maintained hardware and software used for testing the various functions of Gentex products during the final assembly process.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned to troubleshoot a variety of issues related to electronic circuits.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I really enjoyed learning about all of the possibilities available to students studying electrical engineering. It was neat to apply techniques and knowledge learned in the classroom and expand upon my skill set.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I was able to develop a much clearer vision of where I would like to go, and what I would to do as a result of my studies.
