Description of the Organization
Everyone knows what GVSU athletics is about. We are a very successful, DII athletics department within the NCAA. We are not a very big athletic department compared to some bigger schools, but we get the job done, if not better.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
We were responsible of running all the promotions during the sporting events at GVSU. We also helped promote and market the games to the students as well as the community outside of GV.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned what it really takes to be apart of a sports organization, like time management, time commitment, and even what is an effective marketing strategy while targeting certain markets.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I loved being apart of something bigger and something that I believed in. I loved meeting the new people that I came to know as my best friends and it felt good knowing that you were contributing to something that is such a huge part of campus life.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This has made me want to still go into sports, since it just made me love it even more!
