JR Automation is a provider of automated manufacturing solutions. They build custom machines for a wide range of markets including automation, aerospace, food and commerce, etc.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I spent the semester mostly designing and detailing parts and assemblies using PTC Creo software.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
This semester I gained more knowledge on the project management side of engineering. I joined required meetings for projects such as risk management and customer design reviews.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I enjoyed gaining more experience designing.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I enjoy working at a company with such a wide range of markets they provide for. It could be boring working with only automotive parts. At JR I am able to see solutions for manufacturing anything from car doors to pizzas.
