Motion Mechanics is a small company with 6 full time contract engineers and 2 part time electrical engineers. It's a great company environment that gives a lot of freedom to the individual.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I started off the semester doing a robotic welding fixture for a local manufacturing company and then I went more into product development, specifically with landscaping tools and power equipment.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I got to learn manufacturing process, specifically welding and welding operations. I also learned a lot about bringing products to market and dealing with design release issues and fixing those problems.
Favorite Part of the Experience
Designing and testing lawncare and landscape products.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Yes, I hope to continue working here when I graduate this spring.
