40Visuals creates signage for companies to use for advertising in stores around the world. 40Visuals provides a signage management web application that is used by employees and clients to submit orders and manage their signage.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
My task was to refactor the backend code (PHP), so that it is easier to make improvements.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
A big focus was writing reusable code and writing the code, so that it isn't not tightly coupled to third party tools. I gained a lot of experience writing good code.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I enjoyed discovering and correcting bugs during the refactoring process.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I enjoy OO programming and have decided that it will be the career field that I will be going into.
