Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
As an intern, I made cold calls daily trying to market for Jena Weir Sales and increase sales to several different stores. I also created "Where to buy Lists" to target stores who could potentially want to sell Jena's products in their own stores.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Through this experience, my basic communication skills improved and pushed me to be better at calling up strangers, talking on the phone, sending mass emails, filing OCRs and writing up orders, booking appointments, and overall improved my computer skills.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part was working LA market where I got to meet several buyers of stores and it was like hosting a small party with drinks and snacks. It was cool to see all our hard work from organizing it and contacting people all come together.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I learned all about the wholesale side of the fashion industry and am now thinking about heading in this direction after college.
