This was a Republican campaign for Senate. The candidate I worked for was Pete Hoekstra. I served as the field and financial assistant within the office.

" Assists with event planning and voter contact " Meets and greets constituents within various settings " Assists with fee compliance and regular finance operations " Knowledge of current domestic and foreign issues
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I gained knowledge of the political spectrum as a whole, the inner workings of the tea party, and the unbelievable amounts of money donated towards the campaign. I gained "people skills," and professional contact skills in terms of dealing with those that have ran in different republican positions across the state/ U.S.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I enjoyed the field experience and the pressure of the campaign the most. I loved the fact that I had to be dressed professionally for victory center events and rallies.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This experience has helped me further analyze my personal political views, and utilize the skills of connecting with people from the business world to politics. The people skills, and the ability to work under pressure will allow me to endure the work force with an open mind and strong work ethic.
