Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
During my time with SAF-Holland I have completed many tasks ranging from tearing down a truck suspension to designing new suspension components on the computer. Some of these tasks are: data mining, detailing drawings, design, FEA, setting up life-cycle tests, tearing down suspensions, and managing part inventory.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
By working at SAF-HOLLAND my skill in FEA has increased drastically. I learned the best ways to setup and run complicated analysis. I also gained a lot of hands on skills by working out in the test lab and tearing apart suspensions and setting up tests. Furthermore, I also gained a lot of organizational skills by being put in charge of part inventory for prototype suspensions that are in the process of being built.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of my time at SAF-HOLLAND was working in the test lab. I love hands on work and there were many opportunities to do things like taking apart and assembling suspensions.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
My experience at SAF-HOLLAND has influence my future career goals by wanting to work for SAF-HOLLAND after I graduate. It is a great company where you can have a great balance of desk work and hands on work.
