Herman Miller makes office furniture. It's a great place to work because it takes good care of its employees.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I was in the options department which is responsible for all the customized products. Specifically I work in wood cabinets which surprisingly are the most complex modified products.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Learned more about bills of materials and some CAD work. Also researched a new 3d modeling software to see if it could be used to improve our technical illustration creation process.
Favorite Part of the Experience
The pay.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I'd like to work at Herman Miller for a long time. It's very comfortable there.
