NN Autocam Mobile Solutions is a global leader in the manufacturing of high precision metal components. The organization consists of 16 facilities across four continents and specializes in components with single-digit micron tolerances. Autocam precision components can be found in automotive, HVAC, consumer, and fluid power applications.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Over the course of this co-op rotation, I helped to facilitate the required maintenance and repair of a wide variety of industrial automotive manufacturing equipment.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
From this experience I learned how better identify the faulty component of "down" manufacturing equipment. I also learned correct repair techniques and how to better use a wide variety of hand tools. Additionally, I learned a great deal on the purpose and operation of a wide variety of industrial automotive manufacturing equipment.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this experience was the satisfaction of restoring a down piece of equipment back to operation.
