Description of the Organization

GHSP, or Grand Haven Stamped Products, is a company in which makes automobile shifters as well as many types of circuitry and pumps associated. They design, prototype and build new age shifting mechanics.

Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed

Projects that I had a hand in ranged from working with engineering drawings, design changes, prototyping, bill of materials, test reports, testing parts, setting up test parts, and constructing products such as shifters.

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

I gained the knowledge of how to construct a bill of materials, how design changes are carried out, and designed and tested prototypes to improve the design of the products produced.

Favorite Part of the Experience

My favorite part of this experience was having a good team to work with that were nothing but helpful in my learning of the systems associated with being a mechanical engineer in a working environment. There were also many fun projects that tested my knowledge of engineering.

How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals

This experience if nothing else solidified my ideals of becoming an engineer and creating the newest generation of technology that will be used in the automotive industry.
