Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I worked at a mechanical engineer checking machine drawing packages, detailing packages, and even designing parts for automated machines.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned a lot about the process of solid modeling and brainstorming solutions, and became much better at utilizing Pro Engineer design software.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this co-op experience was being able to actually work side by side with experienced designers and then being able to meet the customers and review my designs with them.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Yes, I've known for a while that this was the field of engineering that I want to work in, but after the previous co-op, I would have said that I wanted to work in concept and cost development but after this semester I would much rather be in design.
