Description of the Organization
JR is a company that designs and builds robotic manufacturing cells for various companies. These cells can do anything such as check a manufacturers part, build it, assembly it ect. Anything involved with automating processes.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I finalized drawings, bills of materials, master parts lists (MPLs) and also designed parts for builders as necessary. I learned a great deal about excel coding and as this was my second term in design I was able to practice and reinforce JR design processes and standards. As unexciting as excel coding sounds it was actually quite interesting and involved. I was actually able to automate the process of building a master parts list and was able to share that with our customer which felt great.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Excel Macro Coding, Redlining, design experience, and other miscellaneous tasked involved with documenting and finalizing any job.

The relationships and knowledge I gained.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Well I definitely hope to stay with JR. I also found that though it may be tedious at times, I really enjoyed the automating of the MPL's and also would like to work on designing/coding to integrate and organize all groups (design, controls, purchasing ect.) at JR as we grow.
