Description of the Organization
The Aviation Products Division is part of the larger L3 Technologies Corporation. The create and sell products that aim to make aviation safer. L3T is one of the largest government contractors in the US.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I worked in test engineering so I helped support and automate the test engineering processes. Almost all of our products must be vetted before leaving the facility so that was the job I assisted in. There was coding, computer support, and mild schematic analysis involved.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Knowledge on business and test procedures. The ability to work in a team and professional setting. Furthering of my software and controls skillset.
Favorite Part of the Experience
The group of people I worked with were fantastic. Always willing to answer questions and trusted me with tasks as would a peer.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I am not certain that I will want to stay in Test Engineering indefinitely, but I feel that the experience will be invaluable in a future design or even managerial setting.
