JR Automation is a large company that focuses on providing complete autonomous processes that require little to no human interaction to stay in production.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern I designed, detailed, and checked my own work as well as others. All Design work was done on Creo and there were plenty of opportunities to learn something new everyday.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I was able to learn Creo software and proper design techniques/practices. This was also my 2nd rotation in GVSU's co-op experience which contributed to my learning of technical writing.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part about this co-op experience was my co-workers and business environment.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This experience has furthered my interest in pursuing engineering as a career. I'm happy with the work I have done and the work environment I have been exposed to. JR Automation is a great place to work.
