Description of the Organization
DeWys is a sheet metal fabrication shop. They provide metal solution for many different industries such as medical equipment, automotive parts, brackets, and office furniture.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I worked on incoming inspection for prototypes and engineering changes. I also did corrective actions submissions for repeated quality issues, and worked on an 8D project.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned how to investigate a quality issue and find the root cause for the problem, then implement an immediate solution to the rejected parts and make changes to the process to prevent this from happening again in the future.
Favorite Part of the Experience
Working as a part of a team and accomplish the goals that has been set.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
it has given me an insight on how companies operate and how to become a valued member in the company. Seeing the different responsibilities for each person has given me a good idea about all the different roles everybody plays and it has helped me decide what I would like to do with my future career goals.
