Magna Mirrors is a division of a very large global company Magna and acts as a tier one automotive supplier for interior and exterior mirrors.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
My projects had a wide range from building, programming, and modifying components of mirror programs to performing vast testing procedures such as impact, vibration, thermal shock, chemical exposure, and function analysis.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Many technical and hands-on skills are learned through experience in the machine shops and laboratories. Production process experience and communication skills are also vastly developed throughout this co-op.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this co-op experience was the vast exposure and interaction with engineers of all different disciplines and titles. Working alongside many people outside my discipline developed me as well rounded professional.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This co-op has directed my future career goals towards developing my own company and collaborating with people from all different majors and job characteristics to do so.
