Description of the Organization

Paulstra develops and produces anti-vibration systems for automotive applications including passenger vehicles for GM, Chrysler, Ford, BMW, and Mercedes. These anti-vibration parts come in the form of engine mounts, transmission mounts, cradle mounts and bushings.

Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed

Develop and maintain assembly plans for specific tests on engine mounts. Create test requests, tool room requests, shipping and production forms, completing reports and documenting warranty and return parts, and building ,modifying, and testing engine and transmission mounts.

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

Staying on task even when not given a time constraint and working effectively and efficiently when only given a moments notice.

Favorite Part of the Experience

I got to work at my own pace and the engineers gave me the responsibility for certain tasks that allowed me to learn on my own as well as ask questions about processes and parts in general.

How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals

I have narrowed down the scope of jobs down to only a few and hopefully in only a couple industries suited to my experience and interest.
