Description of the Organization
Phase 1 Engineering is a small company with under 15 employees. It is a group of consultants that work on various projects and in depth solutions. Working at Phase 1 gives you experience in pretty much any application as you work on completely different things constantly.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
At Phase 1, I worked on GPS trackers, linear motors, PCB designs, and schematic capture. These all were huge applications to the projects I helped complete.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I gained skills in soldering, PCB design, designing circuits, RF applications, filtering, and testing different circuit boards.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this co-op was the variety. You constantly are doing something new/ learning something new. At Phase 1, you gain so much more experience than just from classes, and it really helps prepare for future classes.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This experience has opened my eyes to what I do and don't want to do in the future. Since there is so much variety it has shown me what I really enjoy doing and what I want to stay away from. It also showed me that I really like hands on work and doing hardware.
